When I think about the generations to come—especially my grandchildren—I can’t help but wonder what kind of Illinois they will inherit. Will it be a place where hard work is rewarded, families can afford to stay, schools prepare children for success, and communities are safe?
Those questions are why I chose to run for the Illinois House of Representatives.
After more than 30 years as a teacher, I’ve spent my life encouraging young people to believe they can make a difference. Now I feel called to serve my community in a different way.
I’m not running for a title or recognition. I’m running because I believe every generation has a responsibility to leave things better than they found them. Together, we can build an Illinois where our children and grandchildren can live, work, raise their families, and pursue their dreams right here at home.
